Leviticus 4:10
“as it is taken from the bull of the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering.”
What does Leviticus 4:10 mean?
When someone brought a peace offering to the tabernacle, the fat was considered the most valuable part—the richest, choicest portion—so it belonged to God alone. After the priest removed this fat, he would burn it on the altar as a fragrant offering, which was how God's people showed honor and gratitude. This practice taught them that worship costs something; you give what's precious, not what's left over. Even in their system of sacrifices and rituals, God was teaching them about sincere devotion and the importance of putting Him first with their best.
