What does Leviticus 19:30 mean?

God is calling his people to honor two things that matter deeply to him: time set apart for rest and relationship with him (the Sabbath), and the physical space where he dwells among them (the sanctuary). These aren't arbitrary rules, but invitations to slow down and remember who we're connected to. The simple closing, "I am Yahweh," reminds us that this call comes from the God who knows us, sustains us, and deserves our reverence. When we neglect rest or treat sacred spaces carelessly, we're actually stepping away from the One who made us and made these things holy in the first place.
