What does Leviticus 14:23 mean?

After being declared clean from skin disease, a person had to wait a full week and then return on the eighth day with offerings. This final step completed the healing process and officially restored them to the community and to worship. The journey from isolation to full reintegration took time, which probably helped both the person and their community adjust to the change. There's something deeply human about the ritual marking this transition, acknowledging that real healing involves not just physical recovery but being welcomed back into relationships and belonging.
