Judges 2:18
“When Yahweh raised up judges for them, then Yahweh was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved Yahweh because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.”
What does Judges 2:18 mean?
God's heart was moved by the suffering of His people, and whenever He raised up a leader to help them, He stood with that leader and protected them from their enemies. The cycle described here shows that God responded to their cries, even though the people kept falling back into disobedience once their immediate crisis passed.
