Joshua 3:9
“Joshua said to the children of Israel, “Come here, and hear the words of Yahweh your God.””
What does Joshua 3:9 mean?
Joshua is calling the whole community together for something important, knowing that what he's about to share will shape how they move forward. He's inviting them into God's presence and preparing their hearts to listen, not just hear. In this moment, the Israelites are about to cross the Jordan River into the promised land, and Joshua wants them grounded in what God is about to do rather than scattered by fear or confusion.
