What does Joshua 3:11 mean?

The Israelites are about to cross the Jordan River into the land God promised them, and Joshua is reminding them that God himself (symbolized by the ark, the most sacred object in their faith) will lead the way. This wasn't just a military strategy or a geographical crossing, it was a declaration that God was actively moving with his people into their future, not asking them to go first and hoping he'd follow. When the priests carrying the ark stepped into the water, the river stopped flowing, allowing everyone to cross on dry ground, a sign that what seemed impossible was made possible by God's presence and power.
