What does Joshua 21:12 mean?

After the Israelites conquered Canaan, the land needed to be distributed among the tribes and families. Caleb, who had shown unwavering faith decades earlier when he and Joshua were sent to scout the promised land, received Hebron as his inheritance along with its surrounding fields and villages. This wasn't just a reward for loyalty, but a fulfillment of God's earlier promise to Caleb that he would possess the land he had walked through and trusted God for. It's a reminder that faithfulness matters and that God keeps His word across generations, even when circumstances seem uncertain or delayed.
