What does Joshua 15:56 mean?

This verse is simply part of a long list of towns that belonged to the tribe of Judah in the ancient land of Israel. These three settlements, Jezreel, Jokdeam, and Zanoah, were real places with their own local histories, though they're now mentioned only in passing here. The entire chapter catalogs the boundaries and cities of Judah's territory after the Israelites settled the land, which helped establish each tribe's inheritance. While the names might seem disconnected from us today, they represented real communities where families lived, worked, and worshipped.
