What does Joshua 1:6 mean?

Joshua is about to lead the Israelites into the promised land after forty years of wandering, and God is calling him to step into this enormous responsibility with confidence. The command to "be strong and courageous" isn't really about Joshua's feelings, but about his willingness to move forward despite the fear and uncertainty that naturally come with such a task. God reminds him that this isn't his burden alone to carry, but part of something God promised generations before, which gives the mission deeper meaning and stability. When we face our own big transitions or challenges, this verse invites us to move forward knowing that we're not just following our own ambitions, but sometimes participating in something larger than ourselves.
