What does John 8:27 mean?
The religious leaders Jesus was talking with had just heard him say something profound about his relationship with God, but they completely missed the point. Instead of grasping that Jesus was revealing something deep about who the Father is and how he relates to him, they got stuck on the surface level of his words. It's a moment that captures how easy it is to hear something true without really understanding it, especially when we're defensive or coming at a conversation from a different angle.
