What does John 7:43 mean?
The crowds following Jesus couldn't agree about who he was or what he meant. Some believed he was the Messiah, while others thought he was deceiving people, and these differences created real conflict among them. This division wasn't accidental, Jesus himself acknowledged that his message would split people into different camps because it demanded a choice about who he was and whether to trust him. Even today, people respond to Jesus differently, and that's part of what it means to encounter someone who claims to be the way to God, the truth, and the life.
