All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out.

What does John 6:37 mean?

Jesus is making a profound promise here about belonging and acceptance. He's saying that those the Father draws to him will come, and once they do, he will never reject them—not for their past, not for their struggles, not for anything. The second part especially speaks directly to the fear many of us carry: that if we really come to Jesus, we might discover we're too broken or too late. He's saying that's impossible. His commitment to us, once we turn toward him, is absolute and permanent.
