What does John 6:2 mean?

People gathered around Jesus in large crowds, drawn by something they could actually see and experience: he was healing the sick. This wasn't abstract teaching or distant promises, but real transformation happening right in front of them. When someone you know is suffering and suddenly they're whole again, that changes everything about what you believe is possible. The crowds' faith was still forming, built more on what their eyes witnessed than on deeper spiritual understanding. Jesus didn't turn them away for that, though later he'd invite them toward a faith that didn't depend only on seeing miracles. For now, he let the evidence of his compassion speak for itself.
