What does John 6:13 mean?
After Jesus fed the five thousand with just five loaves and two fish, there were leftovers, which might seem ordinary until you notice the detail: twelve baskets full. That's a lot of abundance from what started as almost nothing. The twelve baskets matter because there were twelve tribes of Israel, twelve apostles standing right there. It's as if Jesus was saying through this detail that there's enough, there will always be enough, and every part of God's people is provided for. Nothing is wasted, nothing is lost.
