What does John 5:27 mean?

The Father has given Jesus the right to judge all people, and this authority is connected to his identity as the Son of Man, a title Jesus used to emphasize both his humanity and his role as God's representative. This doesn't mean judgment is harsh or distant, but rather that because Jesus himself experienced human life and understands our struggles from the inside, he judges with both truth and compassion. It's reassuring that the one who will evaluate our lives is not a stranger to suffering, temptation, or the weight of being human, even though he is also fully God.
