John 5:15
“The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.”
What does John 5:15 mean?
A man who'd been sick for thirty-eight years had just been healed by Jesus at the pool of Bethesda, and his first instinct was to share the news with the religious leaders in Jerusalem. He wanted them to know who had restored his health. What makes this moment tender is that the man didn't yet fully understand Jesus or his mission, but he recognized genuine healing and felt compelled to testify to it. Sometimes that's all faith requires at the beginning: acknowledging that something real and good has happened, and pointing others toward the one who made it possible.
