John 4:39
“From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, “He told me everything that I did.””
What does John 4:39 mean?
The woman at the well had just met Jesus at a water source in Samaria, and in their brief conversation, he revealed intimate details about her life that a stranger couldn't possibly know. Her response wasn't to hide or feel ashamed, but to run into town and tell everyone about this remarkable encounter. What's striking is that her testimony was powerful enough to draw many people out to see Jesus for themselves, not because she was eloquent or impressive, but because her own astonishment was genuine and contagious. Sometimes the most convincing witness we can give isn't a polished argument, but simply sharing what we've personally experienced and letting others see that it's real.
