What does John 3:16 mean?

God's love for humanity is so profound that he made the ultimate sacrifice, sending his own Son into the world. Rather than holding back or punishing us for our brokenness, God offers a genuine choice: trust in Jesus and receive life that transcends death, or reject that gift and face separation from him. The beautiful part is the word "whoever," which means this isn't reserved for the perfect, the wealthy, or the worthy, but is genuinely open to anyone. In one sentence, John captures both God's extravagant generosity and the decision that stands before each person.
