John 17:2
“even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him.”
What does John 17:2 mean?
Jesus is speaking to God the Father here, reflecting on the divine partnership between them. He's saying that just as the Father has given him power and authority over all people and creation, Jesus in turn gives eternal life to everyone the Father has entrusted to him.
