John 15:9
“Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.”
What does John 15:9 mean?
Jesus is reminding his followers that the love flowing from God the Father to him is the same love he extends to us, without measure or condition. This isn't love we need to earn or prove ourselves worthy of, but rather something already given and waiting for us to receive. When he invites us to "remain" in his love, he's not saying we need to do something to keep it, but rather to stay aware of it, trust it, and let it shape how we see ourselves and relate to others. It's an anchor for the hard days when we forget we're loved, and a foundation for everything that follows.
