“Then after this he said to the disciples, “Let’s go into Judea again.””
What does John 11:7 mean?
Jesus says this after spending time away in relative safety, but he knows his friend Lazarus is dying in Judea, the very region where authorities have been trying to arrest him. It's a quiet moment of decision where Jesus chooses compassion and faithfulness over self-preservation. His disciples are understandably anxious about returning to a place of danger, but Jesus is willing to walk toward difficulty because someone he loves needs him.
