John 1:37
βThe two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.β
What does John 1:37 mean?
When John the Baptist pointed to Jesus and called him the Lamb of God, his own disciples were listening. Hearing those words, they made the simple but profound choice to leave their teacher and follow this man they didn't yet know. It's a picture of how faith often begins: we hear something true about Jesus, and something in us responds. We take a step toward him, not because we have it all figured out, but because we sense there's something real worth following. Those first disciples didn't know everything that would happen next, but they went anyway.
