Job 9:10
“He does great things past finding out; yes, marvelous things without number.”
What does Job 9:10 mean?
Job speaks these words while wrestling with overwhelming pain and loss, trying to make sense of why God allows suffering. He's acknowledging that God's ways and works are so vast and complex that humans simply cannot fully understand or count them all. There's both humility and a touch of frustration in this statement, as if to say: "God does things beyond my comprehension, so how can I even argue my case?" For many of us, this verse can bring comfort when life feels chaotic or unfair. It reminds us that God's perspective is bigger than what we can see in our current moment, even when we're confused or hurting. At the same time, it's okay to sit with the mystery rather than force easy answers, just as Job does here.
