What does Job 7:10 mean?
Job is describing what happens when a person dies, using the image of someone who never comes home again. His house won't recognize him, his place will forget him, and all the routines and relationships that defined his life on earth will continue without him. In the depths of his suffering, Job is wrestling with the finality and seeming permanence of death, expressing how utterly severed we become from the world we leave behind.
