What does Job 6:4 mean?
Job is expressing the raw, overwhelming weight of his suffering as if God himself had turned weapons against him. He's not speaking literally about arrows, but using vivid language to describe how deeply his pain penetrates, how it poisons everything inside him, and how abandoned he feels by the one person he thought should protect him. This is one of many moments in Job where he speaks his darkest thoughts aloud rather than hiding them. What makes Job's honesty powerful is that he's wrestling with God openly instead of pretending everything is fine. If you're in a season where God feels distant or even hostile to you, Job's willingness to say so out loud—right there in Scripture—can be strangely comforting, as if God makes room for our most difficult questions and accusations.
