What does Job 6:22 mean?
Job is defending himself against his friends' accusations by asking a series of rhetorical questions, and this verse is part of that defense. He's essentially saying, "Have I ever come to you asking for handouts or begging you to give me gifts from what you own?" The answer he expects is a clear no. Job is pointing out that he hasn't been a burden to his friends, so their judgment of him now seems especially harsh and unfair. Even in his suffering, he's maintained his dignity and hasn't asked others to support him through manipulation or desperation.
