Job 38:23
“which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?”
What does Job 38:23 mean?
God is reminding Job that even things we can't control or fully understand, like hail and snow stored in the heavens, serve purposes we might never see. The point isn't really about weather—it's about how God prepares for circumstances long in advance, showing that there's an order and intention behind the world even when it feels chaotic to us. When you're in a hard season and nothing makes sense, this verse suggests that God isn't caught off guard by your struggle, the way he wasn't caught off guard by life's difficulties. It's less about explaining why bad things happen and more about trusting that God sees the whole picture, past and future, in a way we simply cannot.
