What does Job 21:3 mean?
Job is asking his friends for something simple but profound: the chance to be heard. He's been sitting with them through his suffering, listening to their explanations and judgments about why terrible things have happened to him. Now he's saying, "Let me have my turn. Listen to what I need to say, and then you can go back to dismissing me if you want to." There's a quiet dignity in this request. Job isn't asking them to agree with him or change their minds. He's just asking for the basic human courtesy of being allowed to speak his own experience out loud.
