What does Job 21:29 mean?
Job is frustrated with his friends and challenges them to look beyond their neat theological assumptions. He's asking them: Have you actually talked to travelers and merchants who move through the world? Have you listened to what they've actually seen and experienced? His point is that real life is messier than the simple formula his friends keep repeating (that the righteous prosper and the wicked suffer). Job wants them to ground their arguments in actual human experience rather than abstract principles, and he's essentially saying that if they bothered to ask around, they'd discover plenty of counterexamples to their rigid beliefs. It's a call for humility and genuine observation over confident certainty.
