What does Job 21:1 mean?
Job is about to speak up after listening to his friend Eliphaz criticize him, and this simple opening matters more than it might seem. Throughout the book, Job has been wrestling with unbearable suffering while his friends insist he must have done something wrong to deserve it. Now he's going to push back, not with anger but with honest confusion about why God lets the innocent suffer.
