What does Job 13:22 mean?
Job is asking God for a fair hearing, the way two people in a dispute might stand before a judge. He's been listening to his friends' accusations that he must have sinned to deserve his suffering, and he's exhausted by their certainty. In this moment, he's essentially saying, "Let's have it out—either you speak first and I'll respond, or I'll lay out my case and you respond to me." What makes this so human is that Job isn't trying to hide or run from God. Even in his pain and confusion, he wants direct conversation rather than silence or more lectures from people who don't understand his situation.
