What does Jeremiah 8:11 mean?
When people experience real suffering, sometimes those around them try to smooth things over with easy reassurance instead of doing the hard work of genuine healing. Jeremiah is criticizing leaders and false prophets who tell the people "everything is fine" when their spiritual and social wounds run deep, offering comfort without addressing the actual problems.
