Jeremiah 7:3
“Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.”
What does Jeremiah 7:3 mean?
God is speaking directly to the people through the prophet Jeremiah, offering them a straightforward path forward: change how you're living, and I will let you stay in your land. This isn't complicated theology, but an honest invitation, almost like a parent telling a child what needs to happen for things to get better. The people had drifted into injustice and unfaithfulness, and God is calling them back, making clear that their future in the place they call home depends on their choices. There's both warning and hope here: the warning that current patterns have consequences, and the hope that turning around is still possible.
