What does Jeremiah 44:25 mean?
God is calling out the people of Judah for making vows to worship foreign gods, specifically "the queen of the sky" (likely referring to the goddess Astarte or a similar deity). The Judeans had promised to honor this goddess through ritual offerings, and they were actively following through on those promises, despite living in exile after Jerusalem's fall.
