What does Jeremiah 37:8 mean?
Jeremiah is delivering a hard message to the king and people of Jerusalem: the Babylonian army will return and succeed in conquering the city, despite any temporary relief they've experienced. This wasn't what anyone wanted to hear, but the prophet was calling them to face reality rather than cling to false hope.
