Jeremiah 35:3
“Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, with his brothers, all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;”
What does Jeremiah 35:3 mean?
Jeremiah is setting up an important object lesson. He brings together representatives of the Rechabite family, a group known for their strict commitment to following their ancestor Jonadab's rules, which included not drinking wine or building permanent homes.
