Jeremiah 29:10
“For Yahweh says, “After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.”
What does Jeremiah 29:10 mean?
When Jeremiah wrote this, God's people were facing exile in Babylon, which felt like the end of everything. God is telling them that this suffering isn't permanent—after seventy years, He will bring them home and fulfill the good plans He has for them. It's a promise that their current captivity won't last forever and that restoration is coming.
