Jeremiah 11:3

What does Jeremiah 11:3 mean?
God is calling Jeremiah to remind the people of Israel about their ancient agreement with him, warning them that blessing follows obedience while a curse (meaning hardship and separation from God) comes with ignoring his word. This wasn't a harsh threat but a reality check, much like telling someone that ignoring warning signs on a dangerous road leads to danger. The people had drifted into idolatry and injustice, so God was inviting them back through this stark reminder: staying connected to him through keeping his covenant meant flourishing, while turning away meant experiencing the painful consequences of their choices. Even in the warning, there's an offer to return and receive God's blessing.
