Isaiah 59:7
“Their feet run to evil, and they hurry to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity. desolation and destruction are in their paths.”
What does Isaiah 59:7 mean?
This passage describes people whose whole lives are oriented toward harm, cruelty, and injustice. The imagery of feet running and hurrying emphasizes that they're not reluctant or occasional wrongdoers, but actively pursuing evil as their natural direction. Isaiah uses this stark language to show how sin doesn't stay private in someone's heart, it spills outward into real damage: violence, bloodshed, ruined communities. The prophet is painting a picture of a society that has fundamentally lost its moral footing.
