What does Isaiah 52:3 mean?

God is speaking to people who feel utterly worthless, as though they were given away for free because no one valued them. But he's making an astonishing promise: your restoration won't depend on payment or earning your way back. The redemption you need comes as a gift, not something you have to purchase through your own efforts or merit. This speaks powerfully to anyone who feels discarded, used up, or convinced they're beyond help. God's message is that your worth isn't determined by what the world paid for you or what you can produce. He restores people not because they've finally done enough to deserve it, but because that's who he is. The cost of your redemption has already been covered.
