Isaiah 5:11
“Woe to those who rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; who stay late into the night, until wine inflames them!”
What does Isaiah 5:11 mean?
Isaiah is calling out people whose lives have become so centered on pleasure and excess that they organize their entire day around it, waking early and staying up late just to drink. The "woe" here isn't a curse but a warning, like a parent saying "this path leads somewhere dark" to someone they care about.
