Isaiah 45:11
“Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker says: “You ask me about the things that are to come, concerning my sons, and you command me concerning the work of my hands!”
What does Isaiah 45:11 mean?
God is responding here to someone (likely a ruler or people) who approach Him with demands rather than humility, asking Him to explain the future or commanding Him about His plans. There's a gentle rebuke in these words, as if God is saying, "You're asking Me as though you have the right to direct Me, when actually I'm your Maker and you're the one I've made." Yet the tone isn't harsh, it's almost wondering, like a parent gently pointing out that a child has gotten the relationship backwards.
