What does Isaiah 40:22 mean?
God's perspective is so vast and elevated that even the grandest human concerns shrink to insignificance, yet He remains intimately close enough to sustain us. The image of a circle of earth reminds us that Isaiah was writing to ancient people, and this poetic language captures something true: we are genuinely small in comparison to the cosmos and to God's knowledge.
