What does Isaiah 38:21 mean?

King Hezekiah was seriously ill, and Isaiah the prophet gave him practical medical advice along with God's promise of healing. The fig poultice was a real remedy people used in that ancient world, known to help with infections and inflammation. What's touching here is that God cares about our whole selves, not just our spirits, and often works through ordinary means (a simple home remedy) to bring restoration. Sometimes healing comes through medicine, rest, and natural remedies working alongside faith, and that's exactly how God designed our bodies to work.
