What does Isaiah 30:6 mean?
Isaiah is speaking about a dangerous journey through the desert toward Egypt, a place he saw as spiritually misguided. The people of Judah were sending expensive gifts and tribute through hostile territory, risking everything to seek help from Egypt instead of trusting God. They were exhausting their resources and endangering themselves on a path that would ultimately profit them nothing spiritually, because they were looking for salvation in the wrong place.
