What does Hosea 2:14 mean?

God is speaking here as a loving husband determined to win back his unfaithful wife's heart. After describing judgment and consequences, he shifts to restoration, promising to draw her away from everything that's been pulling her away from him, to a quieter place where they can reconnect. It's a picture of how God sometimes removes us from distractions or comfortable sins, not to punish, but to speak to us in a way we can finally hear. The tenderness promised here shows that even when God's methods feel harsh (that wilderness), his intention is always intimate and loving.
