What does Hosea 11:6 mean?
This verse describes the consequence of turning away from God, using the image of military destruction to show how a nation fractures when it rejects its foundation. The "sword" falling on cities and breaking gate bars represents the collapse of protection and security that God had provided. When people stop listening to God's voice and following His guidance, they lose the stability they once had, and their carefully made plans fall apart.
