What does Hebrews 4:14 mean?

Jesus holds a position of ultimate authority and closeness to God, having ascended beyond everything visible and entered into God's very presence. The writer is inviting us to grip tightly to what we believe about him, especially when circumstances make it hard to keep holding on. This isn't about perfect doctrine or saying all the right words, but about maintaining our trust in Jesus when doubt, suffering, or weariness tempts us to let go. The encouragement rests on a solid foundation: if Jesus himself is seated with God and representing us there, we have someone reliable to hold onto.
