“Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.”
What does Hebrews 4:11 mean?
The writer is calling us to actively pursue the kind of peace and wholeness that comes from trusting God, warning that we can slip away from it just as the Israelites did in the wilderness when they refused to believe Him. "Rest" here means more than just ceasing work, it's the deep security of knowing God is faithful and letting go of the burden of trying to control everything ourselves.
