What does Hebrews 3:6 mean?

Christ's faithfulness to God's household is portrayed as something we can absolutely rely on, the way a son faithfully manages his father's affairs. The remarkable part is that we ourselves are that household, the people Christ cares for and leads. The verse acknowledges something real though: staying connected to this truth requires holding onto our confidence and hope through the entire journey of life, not just in easy moments. This isn't about earning God's love through white-knuckled effort, but rather about remaining open to the security Christ offers, especially when circumstances tempt us to let go.
